I am a baby female King Cobra,
I
can grow to an average length of about 15 feet and possibly reaching 18
feet, making me the largest venomous snake in the world! I come from Asia
and live in the forests preferring areas with lakes and streams. My
genus name (scientific), Ophiophagus, literally means
"snake-eater", so my diet consists primarily of other snakes, we
are diurnal – which means we are able to hunt all times of the day but
we rarely come out at night. |
