I need your help finding a name… Here’s a little about me to help you think of some ideas.

I am a baby West African Gaboon Viper, I can grow to an average length of about 4-5 feet and may possibly grow larger still. I am not only the largest member of the genus Bitis, but also the world's heaviest viperid and have the longest fangs, reaching up to 2 inches! I come from the rainforests and savannas of Sub-Saharan Africa. And, I am a girl.

Primarily nocturnal, Gaboon Vipers ( Bitis gabonica gabonica ) have a reputation for being slow-moving and placid and usually hunt by ambush, often spending long periods motionless, waiting for suitable prey to happen by. When prey happens by, they strike with very fast precision from any angle. Once they strike their prey, they hang on to it with their large fangs rather than letting it go and waiting for it to die. If threatened, they may hiss loudly as a warning, doing so in a deep and steady rhythm, slightly flattening the head at the expiration of each breath.
